  Topic 12

  Year 13 China Coursework

  In Year 13 you will be studying China from 1945 to 1990 as your coursework unit. You will have to submit 2 essays across the year, each being between 3,000-4,000 words long. We will select the best one of these to submit to the board - each essay is worth 40 marks. 

  The deadlines for these essays have been set and explained to you. They are detailed below so you can reference them at any point.

  Essay 1 - Due by 4pm on Wednesday 3rd January 2018

  Essay 2 - Due by 4pm on Monday 16th April 2018

  These deadlines are not negotiable and anyone missing the deadline will score zero. Extensions will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and must be agreed in advance with Mr Shergold.   Washington DC Trip 2020

  Trip dates - Thursday 20th February 2020 to Tuesday 25th February 2020

  Below you will find links to relevant websites concerning our trip to Washington DC - please feel free to have a look at them before you go. We will update this section of the site regularly with new links and other information as we have it - including pre-trip meetings and deadlines.

  Any outstanding monies need to be paid to Mrs Georgiou in the Finance Office via Parentpay. If you have not yet handed in a copy of the photo page from your passport please do that asap as well.

  You will need to complete your ESTA security clearance online at least 72 hours prior to departure - any problems please see Mr Marshall. Link to ESTA website is below.

  Student meeting on Thursday 9th November in Rm 49 (the smaller drama studio). Please bring a copy of your passport photo page with you.
